Our History

On August 9th, 2009 A Greater Light Temple of Christ Church was formed by the aide of the Holy Spirit through the willing vessel of Reverend Robert DeRosa The Holy Spirit move on the heart of Reverend DeRosa and spoke these words Haggai 1:7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways. 8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the Lord.

Being lead by the Holy Spirit, Minister Robert DeRosa joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church were God allowed him to grow in the ministry and take on the role of Youth Guidance Counsel and Associate Minister from 2005-2009. Feeling a higher calling of service, Now Reverend Robert DeRosa accepted the call to start a church. Greater Light Temple of Christ opened its doors in October, 25th 2009 for its first worship service at 1654 Dorchester Ave Dorchester, MA 02124, On January 1, 2014. The church relocated to its current location at 1355 Blue Hill Ave Mattapan, Ma 02126
